Thank you Justin for your patience, your guidance and your service.
I never thought I would ever be able to buy a house. Being a single mother of three children, to make ends meet, I was always robbing Peter to pay Paul. I've worked as a nurse for 40 years and although it's a living wage, there was never much to put aside into savings. I rented the same house for 27 years. It was a small 2 bedroom in Commerce. It allowed my children the advantage of going to school in a great school district and offered a slower pace of living. Because the house was full of love, it was home. I thought I would always live there.
My son Dan was the one to suggest I buy a house. Already being near retirement age, I thought he was out of his mind! Although he convinced me it was do-able, I was conflicted.
My eldest son Matt died unexpectedly in May and I was reluctant to leave the home that housed so many happy years and memories. I'm writing all this as a preface to make clear what a difficult decision it was and how fragile I was at the onset of this venture.
Dan put me in contact with Justin Woodbeck and from the very first meeting I felt a bond begin to develop. There's a light and gentleness that shines from within him. We discussed all my must haves. I wasn't looking for granite counter tops or stainless steel appliances. Leave that for the hipsters. If I was going to buy a house, it would have to be a place where my belongings, my family and I would feel at home in. Justin got it. He was attentive to all my needs. We looked at several properties. As I still work full time on the midnight shift, he would arrange showings that fit my sleep schedule. He was my guide through the complicated process of being a first time home buyer at my advanced age. He educated me on FHA guideline, PMI, closing cost and a myriad of other technicalities. It was like learning a foreign language and Justin was my Rosetta stone. There was never any pressure to settle for something that wasn't quite right. He always made my best interest his #1 priority. He found me the perfect house in a quiet neighborhood near family and work. He brokered me the best deal possible, keeping within my budget. His services didn't stop there. When things hit a lag, he was on the phone daily to the lender, the inspector, the FHA appraiser, whomever was causing the glitch. He made sure things got back on track. He was a fierce advocate with impeachable integrity and a stellar work ethic. From first offer to closing, I had the keys in 30 days. Thank you Justin for your patience, your guidance and your service. You helped me realize that you take your memories with you. You helped provide me with a new home that I love, to build years of new memories in.- Linda Woods
